PLEASE HELP .... anyone who knows how to drive a motorcycle ......?

I am going for a bike license test . pls verify my knowledge of bike Controls :

The left side of bike is for speed and gear shifting . the right side is for breaks .

Throttle is on both sides . Clutch on left side near throttle . front break on right side near throttle .

the rear brake is near to my right . the gear stick is near my left leg .

gear stick works like : 1st gear all way down . neutral half click up . 2nd gear a complete click up . more upper clicks result in 2nd , 3rd , 4th gear so on .

please answer some of my questions :

1) what exactly is a throttle in a bike ? Is it similar to accelerator in a car ?

2) how to move the throttle for accelerating the bike ? how to rotate it ?

3)after putting in the key in key hole , how to start the bike ? i see a switch near right handle grip , but some bikes have a push down lever for starting .

thanks|||you really need lessons on how to operate a bike, let alone ride it and pass a test. any instructor will tell you the basics before you even get near the bike. no offence but you dont seem to know anything about what you%26#039;re about to undertake and you%26#039;ll end up hurt or dead if you carry on as you are. please get lessons mate, its not as easy as just taking a test. you%26#039;ll be throwing your test fees down the toilet.|||Please ask this question the Street bike section.

You will find it under the Transport section on the main page.

This is for Racing questions.|||The throttle is on the right side. To shift gears, you pull in the clutch on the left side and shift down into first out of nuetral then up into second. The shift lever is on the left side. You pull in the clutch and hit the brake pedal for the rear brakes. The brake pedal is on the right. You turn the key to the right until the engine turns on then let the key go ( make shure the bike is in nuetral which in in between first and second rear.) The right lever is for the front brakes. Then you are ready to ride. Good luck and be safe.|||You really need to go to your nearest BMV, and get the latest version of the motorcycle driver%26#039;s manual and read over that. I found many errors in your paragraph and don%26#039;t think you should take the test at this point in time.|||1. You don%26#039;t drive a motorcycle, you ride it.

2. If you aren%26#039;t even familiar with controls, and how to even start a bike i think you missed a very important step between the desire to get a motorcycle license, riding and the road test for your license. That step would be... you guessed it, actually learning how to ride.

3. What does this have to do with racing?

4. You are retarded, and riding a motorcycle is probably the last thing you should be doing.|||Temps, sadly, you are not competant to ride on the street, These are things you would know if you have ridden 10 minutes/

Sounds like you want a PERMIT or learners permit, this is just a paper test.

You got 1 out 3 right or you worded it badly.

There are 2 swithches fior ignition near the throttle right grip.

A round start push button and an OFF/on/OFF kill switch which you can leave in the on position for years.
