If you do a straight trade car for car, how much do you pay in taxes?

I found someone who would like to trade my car for their car. Neither one of us would pay any money to each other. How would this work at the Secretary of State? How would we pay taxes and what would we put down as the selling price?|||The DMV being a gov entity would%26#039;t let you off so easy. They will get the blue book price or the prevailing price of each vehicle, whichever is highest and tax you on that. Your best bet is to %26#039;bill of sale%26quot; each other for a few hundred bucks and pay your tax on that.|||chec and see if they have a form for that/i think they do for evens car swap
