A car traveling 88km/h is 110m behind a truck traveling 75km/h. how long will it take to reach the truck?

The car is traveling 13km/h faster than the truck so the question is how long does a car traveling at 13 km/h take to close a distance of 110m. First I would convert the 110m into km so the units of distance are the same: 110m = .110 km.

Using the formula distance = rate*time and solving for time, we have time = distance/rate = .110 km/13km/hr = 0.00846 hours = 30.5 seconds (approximately).
