i turn 16 in 2 weeks and i just bought a 01 corolla last week. after i turn 16 i will have to wait 30 days t o get my licence (law where i live). i want to know how often i should drive my car untill then to make sure it doesn%26#039;t sit still too long and damage the engine somehow. it has 133,000 if that would affect it|||Well, since you don%26#039;t have your license, your shouldn%26#039;t drive at all. But if you%26#039;re just moving it around on your property; once a week is fine. I%26#039;ve let a car of mine sit for much longer,
All you%26#039;re doing is keeping things lubricated.|||I would do it weekly. As it%26#039;s old the battery and charging circuit may be past it%26#039;s best and be flat after a fortnight.|||Cars can sit for many months with no issues. If you are going to let it sit for more than a couple months, add a fuel stabilizer to the gas, as gas degrades. Again, if more than a couple months, consider disconnecting the battery so that it does not lose its charge.|||I have cars that sit for months over the winter, they are all fine.|||every 2 weeks or so|||You should start the engine and move the car every couple of weeks, if you can. You want to start the engine to keep the internal components lubricated with oil, and you want to roll the tires so they don%26#039;t dry-rot. But really, it%26#039;s probably not going to kill the car if you let it sit for one month; it%26#039;s more a concern for people who store their cars on a long-term basis.|||well if all you have to do is wait about a month then it should be but it is a good idea to get those fluids moving since it is getting colder. Just once or twice a week just start it and let it run for like 5 minutes and it%26#039;ll be just fine
