How to check a car's dependability?

I%26#039;m considering buying a 1993 honda prelude.

It is getting a new journal put in the engine, and it should run smoothly as a daily driver.

The seller is asking 1400 dollars with the new journal.

How can I know if it is a good buy?

Should I hire a mechanic to come and look at the car?

How would I go about finding a honda apprehensive mechanic?|||It%26#039;s always a good idea to hire a mechanic to look at a car before buying, unless you%26#039;re one yourself.

%26#039;Nuff said. :)|||1. Drive it into a tree

2. Survive

3. ???

4. PROFIT!|||call firestone and ask them or ask a friend|||ALWAYS get a mechanic to look over any used car you are considering buying. Check prices on www.kbb.com.
